Well, I'm not writing at the moment because I'm too damn lazy. I've been on two road trips to gather material. A flotilla of ideas is sailing around in my head but, I just couldn't be bothered. It feels good. . Here is a bit of strange Mal material.

Neville sent me a quote once and I wish I could find it and/or remember it. I'm sure Neville will remember though. It goes something like this: Poetry is passion recalled in a moment of peace.

Isn't that so true? We have busy lives, health issues, grief, travel, families, to keep us busy but we store things in our brains (or notebooks) and when we have the space to think we can then put it into words. I know I like to have an uninterupted day to myself when I write and don't like to start something unless I know I can sit at it all day if I have to.

You've spelt expectations wrong Mal regardless of whether they be fat or thin - so you'd be writing more lines that you had to, if you were, which you aren't - so I guess it doesn't matter anyway. Well that's 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Well, I'm not writing poetry at the moment, because my head is being filled with writings from the likes of Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, et al, and with concepts such as Dionysian and Apollonian Societies; the concepts of phenomenology, Heuritics and hemeneutics, of Eros and Thanatos; of personal journeys, symbolic artwork, and lots of other stuff that has a tendency to clutter my mind, and chase out anything that resembles creativity but is not related to my study!!!
And just when I think I will take a break from it all, I have to go to work!!
But, I came onto the site today for almost the first time since I started my study because I wanted to send Glenny a message, and found myself yearning for the days when I could string a few words together in some sort of reasonable form!! I managed to write a short poem on my way up to Geraldton for work - it is by no means a good piece of work, but I guess it is a start!! (Maybe!!)
Perhaps I should write a poem incorporating all the new words and concepts I have been learning about?!!
