Can you hear that distant rumble slowly building to a roar
can you feel the ground a trembling as the battle lines we draw.
The fight is on in earnest to cement an eight year run
our warriors are primed and ready and we will not be out done.

You can not explain the feeling as your guts curl like a ball
then your skin it starts to tingle as you hear that Queensland call.
Seven years of Queensland winning the blues can see no rhyme or reason
They know the canetoad armies coming and it’s cockroach feeding season.

The Blues have made some changes Gallens fallen out of sight
they must have wanted players who could play instead of fight ?
Farrahs got the captains nod and poor old Merrits in the bin
but we don’t care who they pick it’s not gonna help them win.

Lauries feeling worried, he just don’t know where to start
Heaps of talent there to choose from but no players who have heart.
When will they start to realise it’s ok to play it tough
but if you don’t love the state your born in it will never be enough.

Greg Bird has said we play too rough Nate hurt him in that brawl
he hates us cause we’re winning well now I’ve heard it bloody all.
Learn to take it on the chin mate pride’s not something you can buy
And one in bloody all in has always been our battle cry.

The Blues supporters gather they have put out an urgent call
and from every nook and cranny they crawl out of the wall.
Sydney may be their home town and Queenslanders they may hate
but our champion team is ready and they’re gonna make it eight.

Eighty thousand screaming roaches blue wigs and banners flying
celebrate it while you can we’re gonna send you all home crying.
They know we’re never beaten, they can never duplicate our pride
When the dust of battle settles Queensland will be the champion side.

I just love the way New South Wales celebrate one game win like it is the series. I have been coping crap all week from Blues supporters revenge is sweet.


But I won't rub it in

From what I see of the game a group of men get into a huddle sniff the bloke in front of him's backside then pinch his foot ball and then run like buggery trying to get away from him and his mates. Struth mate and you call that sport. Try riding unbroken horses more skill in that, or camp drafting or mustering half wild stock the old way on horse back,

People who have never played the game just do not realise the mateship that you develop, I still have mates I played the game with when I was in my teens and we still remember the good and bad times.
