UN PEACEKEEPERS

Post by Neville Briggs » Fri Apr 18, 2014 4:22 pm

Our newest member, Rod, reminded me of one of the great evils of our era.

Where did this event happen. Take your pick :cry:

UN PEACEKEEPERS

They could have saved the lives that day,
the UN had peacekeepers there;
instead they chose to look away.
They could have saved the lives that day
but lives must not get in the way
where politics and power increase.
They could have saved the lives that day;
but silent graves will keep the peace.

Good one Neville - I'm sure there are many sharing our feelings.

Go get 'em Neville! Good one sir.

may I humbly suggest that ''but silent graves will keep the peace'' may be better with ''keep their peace''....? Just a thought.....
