I'm with Bob. The first version is stronger because the layout emphasises the repetition. "gossip in the air" and "wisdom of the moon" might be whimsical, but "it's the ink upon the nib" (the promise of more than one poem in the next six months?) and "it's a yesterday's disguise" go deeper than that.

Loving this Heather - it totally came across as thought provoking to me. Poems like this make me want to read them several times over - and slower each time. Well done!
