And other coarse antics that we don't want to know. that doesn't mean that he was wrong on philosophical questions. ;)

Only on this site could you go from a poem about goats and a Cobb & Co coach to a discussion about Diogenes weeing on people.

Incidentally, did anyone notice the cunning rhyme of "place" with "place" in the cynic poem? My search for the perfect "perfect" rhyme is over!

Cheers

I had a very robust discussion with a bush poetry presenter who insisted that the same word must notbe used as an end rhyming couple, because " it is not a rhyme ". Of course the same word is a rhyme !! it's logical as you said David a perfect, perfect rhyme.

Whether it is effective poetry writing to double the same word as a rhyme, that's another question, isn't it ?
I reckon it would depend on the expression that the writer is after.

I did David but I considered the BB rhyme the more relevant
and then place place fades into the background don't you think ?

Well, Henry rhymed "now" with "now" in four stanzas of Andy's Gone With Cattle, so I guess there's a time and a "place" for everything!

Sounds like a good marketing tag . . . a good soundbite for Facebook, Maureen. ;) It'd hook me in for a look, anyway :)

I'm just glad we thwarted Heathers repeated attempts at steering all threads to the subject of Jacqui Lambie :P
