Come Sit By My Campfire

Post by alongtimegone » Fri Dec 19, 2014 4:33 pm

Members would have read a poem by Terry under the heading Lend Me An Ear. He has since written a few extra verses and renamed it ...
Come Sit By My Campfire
A Bushman's Song
I thought the words sounded lyrical, as so many of members' poems do, so with his acceptance (I was a bit cheeky. I composed first and then asked if he minded) I put music to it and took it to a friend who has a recording studio and recorded it. Terry has the recorded version as an MP3 file and I have posted a couple of CDs to him.

I have uploaded the MP3 file. Hope it works.

Bugger ... the file is too large. Back to the drawing board. If anyone knows how to reduce it please tell. In the meantime I will try to zip it. Never done that with an audio file before.

Only ever had one aim in life unfortunately I've forgotten what it was. Possibly to give others a giggle. Love your responses Heather.

Oh Bob, really! Any girl could tell you, a file is something you do your nails with. A zipper, um, a lady wouldn't know about zippers!

Warren, my aim in life is to please - to stir the pot occasionally ;) (metaphorically speaking), or to have someone else cook for me and all three if possible

My I'd kill for a wine! I've got the strawberries...

Heather :)

Warren, I am forewarning you that should no poetry attach itself to this file in a specified, dignified and appropriate time, I shall have to move this thread to somewhere where the said thread is in its rightful place. Phew!
