SEX LIFE

They had been there in the bar room
for an hour or maybe more
and the conversation raged about
from politics to war.

Then they got on to their sex life
and some began to skite
why Jock boasted that he made love
almost every night.

Rubbish shouted Billy
that's just being greedy
once a month is sure enough
for anyone that's needy

Hell ! twice a year Joe then proclaimed
abstaining makes me fonder
then he sat down and drank his beer
and let the others ponder

A stranger in the corner sat
his look was one of mirth.
He could not hold the laughter in
it shook his ample girth

What's so funny ? Joe enquired
where's your missus goan get her.
I'll shout the bloody bar mate
if your love life's any better

I only make love once a year
the stranger said with glee.
Well laughter shook the bar room
and Jock cried deary me.

Once a year is all you get !
you've got no call to skite.
Yeah once a year the stranger laughed
but mate tonight's the night.
