It's Just Not Cricket

Post by alongtimegone » Sat Dec 20, 2014 7:14 pm

Posted once before, but topical this time since the Indians are out here.
Wazza

It’s Just Not Cricket

“ Have you ever heard of Balti?”
We were sittin’ at the cricket.
The Indians were bowling
And they thought they’d got a wicket.

I didn’t answer Robbo
‘cause I heard the players shout.
I was waitin’ for the umpire.
Was he in, or was he out?

“ Oh bugger! Look! His finger’s up.
They’ve called it ‘out’. Ahh shucks!
A few short of his hundred.
Man, I really think that sucks.

No way that our bloke nicked that ball.
I can’t believe the shout.
Hope our bowlers give ‘em curry
when it’s their turn to come out.

Now who’s this Balti fella?
He sounds Indian to me.
And Robbo, if he’s in their team
he’s not my cuppa tea.”

Thanks Terry and Thanks Neville. I knew what you were saying and fair enough. I can't enjoy Rugby Union although I'm a died in the wool fan of rugby league..

I don't like any sports Warren just a waste of time a lot of people running around mindlessly chasing balls and stuff. You never meet new people or make lifelong friends learn new skills or anything.

Now Bob we mustn't be ironic on Christmas Eve ;) :) You could meet new people, make lifelong friends and learn new skills by joining a monastery.

Like that bloke on Big Bang Theory Nev you do not recognise sarcasm .

I played Rugby league touch football cricket out door and indoor, out door and indoor hockey, tennis squash, lawn bowls indoor bowls, golf, darts, basketball, baseball, Loved them all except the lawn bowls ( too gentile for me and sloooooow ) I wanted to go last as skip and they said it takes years to achieve that position so I challenged the current bloke for the position but he would not play me    .

Sport is a great character builder and I still have many friends from my sporting days.
