A Letter From croc

Post by Glenny Palmer » Thu Jul 16, 2015 6:31 pm

I was digging through some paper files when a single page fell at my feet. It was a letter to me from my darlin' croc...from long ago...
It was headed up with a poem of his that I had neglected to file in his poems folder. (big smack me!) I won't share the letter, just his lovely poem.

Deep beneath the surface…

…where the dream becomes a yearning, and a longing in the heart,
and the fires of tomorrow dance today’s pre-empted part
as they smoulder in sub-consciousness, and burn in woken soul,
and the dreams lose their beginning as the burning takes control…
to raise and swell and there to dwell, ‘ere dreamers fall to sleep,
for dreams of love are not contrived by hours they may keep.

…and so in sleep, or woken dream, the yearning in my heart
will rise and fall to meet the need the dream needs in its part,
and all the love it takes to feed the dream throughout the day
will be nourished there at night time by your love from far away.
And ever in my dreams, your dreams…our dreams when day has run
will be warmed by love from dreams thereof, and molten, into one.

Then with the morning sun, two dreams, united evermore,
stand side by side, and love by love; each dream’s fulfilled its lore.

A timely message delivered, perhaps when he thought you needed it - it has put a smile back on your face :D

It is a beautiful poem - you are a lucky lady

Thank you Maureen. It was curious how that page, out of all the ones that stayed in the folder, landed at my feet. Makes you wonder, eh?

Ah croc....never an easy walk in the park, but soo passionate...about everything you just couldn't help loving him to the soles of your boots. Yes, I reckon I am lucky. ;)

How beautiful Glenny! I love the whole poem, but especially these lines - exquisite!

No one can take away those precious memories!

Beautiful Glenny.
Croc knew and you know it's all about LOVE. We are Soul inhabiting human bodies mainly to teach us more about love and death can never separate those who have experienced the joy of such deep sharing.

A blessing indeed Glenny.

Love it Glenny, We will be 56 years married on the 8 August to the day and that poem fits us down to the ground, ol' Croc had a great way with words.

Beautiful - written in true Croc style!! The consummate wordsmith.
Wonderful memories he left behind.

Let's hope you come across a few more of these little gems!!
Hope all is well in your part of the land - have you heard from the WABP&YS as yet about Toodyay? I have not kept up to date just lately - been very slack since I finished my study!! :)

Dave - happy anniversary for the 8th to you and Elaine! My new little grandson is due that day - and it is my Dad's birthday - so he will be sharing his day with three special people if he arrives on time! :D
What goes around, comes around.
