For anyone who has ever lived with a woman who is not a morning person...
SHE OF KRAKATOA
She of Krakatoa
can erupt without warning,
a yawning chasm opens in life's equilibrium.
She of Krakatoa
is most volatile at morning,
best to be avoided when the day has just begun.
She of Krakatoa
can shoot fire from eye sockets,
sending burning rockets skyward, plumes of molten rock and ash.
She of Krakatoa
can rain down on you in buckets.
Press your luck, and you'll be lucky to escape without a scratch.

Totally agree - and it is a wise man who knows and respects his limitations

Re: SHE OF KRAKATOA
Dumb insolence, always the best defence.
( I could be wrong

And just like Krakatoa, sounds like one should keep well clear when she goes off.
Sounds a bit like my teenager!

Re: SHE OF KRAKATOA
My wife has already scolded me because she thinks the poem is about her
I am pretty sure it was morning when she went off about the poem...hmmmmmm
You may be right about the best defence, Neville. I just try to maintain a very low profile, and as Heather suggests, keep well clear until the eruption has subsided...that is, of course if I lived with someone who was not a morning person...which I clearly do not...(if you happen to be reading this, my dear wife)
