HOMEWORK PROMPTS FOR WEEK ENDING 14TH DECEMBER 2015

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Mon Nov 30, 2015 11:26 am

Yet again our last collection of set prompts drew out some wonderful poetry from our clever poets. Well done everyone :D

I hope everyone has come through the terrible weather we are having across our country over the last few weeks. The weather Gods seem to have gone beserk and are costing Aussies big bucks in their rampage. Thank God for the firies - the blokes and sheilas in the big red trucks as well as the local bushfire brigades and for the SES crews and many other who have been stretched to capacity over these difficult times. They do a terrific job.

So under the circumstances perhaps these prompts won't be too surprising.

lashing winds and driving rain

the heavens opened

spume flecked shores

the chainsaws roar

lowering clouds in skies of green.

river crossings running deep

Let's see what you can do with these - away you go.

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.
