You're onto me Roscoe. I used to be an ace sales consultant. They'd buy from me to get gone, & get the ringing outta their ears.

Martyboy....I'll tell you a little secret. I am as soft as muck but have a highly developed pain threshold. Joeleene, however, doesn't give a flying fig & would skin you for a new pair of boots.

Hey Zondrae. Goodonyalove. 'When you are busy and don't pop in for a while, I worry that someone (and I hope it would never be me) may have offended you.' You're spot on. 'Someone' historically has!! But not on the pc. I do spend lots of time chasing around performing, but not only for the $$ (know any rich poets??) but for the love of it. Plus all the 'other' things that one gets hauled into...kids, charities, unemployed relatives with associated 'needs'...oooh. I'd like to know what 'bored' means sometimes. If we ever get a 'site get together' happening, you're booked as our muso!! Hey. That's a good idea. We'll need a map of where everyone lives & find the central point for the venue. Then those living in the venue area can foot the bill for the rest of us's travelling costs. Yeah!

...depending on the weather of course Dave!...love to see you, make sure you give me a few days notice, I spend a fair bit of time out bush but generally only short stints these days.

Ah Glenny, when I returned from the Bueadesert show I put out some feelers for interested parties to come to Alice for an organised poetry do, I had approached some sponsers and had a rural block on standby for camping...how much interest did I receive?.....Jack! ...Now the mate with the rural block has sold up and moved on, I am older, more tired and less intersted so that window is now shut....procrastination can be a costly thing..... :|

G'day Marty,
I had a half page response to send and it vanished. I take this as an omen that I was not ment to send it.

Sufficient to say: I will have to convince my husband we need to join you.
If I knew, for sure, Glenny was coming I would move a mountain and ford a stream to get there.

Marty,

My problem is, I already have one commitment in September and I think there is also another festival in September that I have applied for. So I have to wait and see. My birthday also falls in September so your gig would be a kind of celebration for me.

The colours fade and water drains from pools.

So many of life's experiences are like that.
