Goodness me, Maureen! I think these are the most challenging prompts you've ever set - for me, anyway. So I thought I'd offer this as my first attempt - definitely the work of a "Lazy Poet" ...
Through long afternoons
more dangerous than
endless duplication
of pathos
she sat
immaculate
in her
inexorable sadness
I will make another attempt before the fortnight ends - hopefully!!
Cheers (and thinking)
Shelley

Reckon that takes the record for brevity, Shelley!

Thanks Maureen and David! Yes, David, you are probably right about the brevity - as to the record for creativity ... well that's another story!!
Lovely to hear from you Wen - and looking forward to sharing with you again when you get the chance. I well know how full time work saps the creativity as well as the time!!
Cheers

Well done, Shelley!...I've been in Wendy's boat lately work-wise, and am now about to head to the airport to visit my folks, so not sure how much will get written while I'm away either...(excuses, excuses)...Like Wendy however, I too am enjoying reading all these great contributions

Thanks Catherine - and I know what you mean about time, inspiration, etc etc!!
However I now have written a "proper" homework poem (it came to me in the middle of the night, and this time I wrote it down!) So you'll find it in a separate thread.
Cheers and enjoy your visit with your folks.
