I was especially delighted to watch the YouTube video of Joseph Galloway crafting the Marian Mayne trophy. My late Mum was an exponent of pyrography and I have several of her lovely pieces. It's a dying art.

I am truly honoured to have been judged the winner of this year's award and to see my name engraved next to last year's inaugural winner, David Campbell.

Yes it is. My grandfather (Mum's father) was a timber man and the appreciation of all wood and related wood crafts really permeates our family.
