Homework WE 14/11/16 - "Happy Little ... "

Post by Shelley Hansen » Mon Nov 07, 2016 9:55 pm

Short and sweet for me this week, Maureen ... well, short and savoury, anyway!

HAPPY LITTLE ...
(c) Shelley Hansen 7/11/16

There is a jar of something with an old familiar taste
that's good right to the very last, without a drop of waste.
It lives inside my fridge, and it's a window to the soul
for just a taste can change a mood, bring focus to a goal.

So when they catch you wearing your sad heart upon your sleeve,
when, weighed down with frustration, you are craving a reprieve,
or when your heart is bleeding and you think romance is dead ...
just grab a jar of Vegemite! Let's see you smile, instead!

Good one - the taste of that always takes you back to your childhood I reckon - for the first time in yonks I made some Vegemite sandwiches the other day, immediately my thoughts flew back to school days. Certainly does put a smile on the dial

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

Thanks Maureen. Yes, imagine if we'd been born in Siberia or somewhere where they don't have Vegemite! Think of what we'd have missed out on! :o

Cheers
