Challenging Maureen! (keep up the good work!)
I joined a group of friends to cruise a short way up the coast
and back again in just under a week.
Beginning of November was the time as picked by most
avoiding summer rains which could be bleak.
The lowering of clouds our third day on the briny seas
just added to the art of standing up!
The rocking and the rolling quite upset my pie and peas,
which did a slip and slide around my cup!
I took a class in Charleston, (the boat lurched at every kick),
the goal - a flash mob dancing ‘Gatsby Night’
I did perfect Flapper time, the boat did slow, slow quick!
Feather boa ‘round my knees was quite a sight!
An adventure edifying but I’ll not go back for more,
I’ve tried it once and had a brilliant time.
With never a dull moment until we returned to shore,
for now I’ll take my water without brine.

That's great, Wen! I'm not letting my hubby see it though - otherwise I'll never convince him to take a cruise!!
Love the "water without brine" line!!!

Well done Wendy, a great and may I say innovative use of the prompts and I agree with Shelley on both counts

With you all the way, Wendy! I do enough lurching on dry land these days (a wonky hip and a dicky knee) without adding the rock-and-roll of the ocean to the situation. Definitely no cruises on the horizon.
