A LOVE SONG

It’s beautiful, It’s beautiful, they say
To see young lovers join the two as one;
For better or for worse, declared that day.

Yet there are many days to come along,
Grinding all the wear and tear of life.
Things that first were right can go so wrong.

It’s worse to keep a record of the wrong,
It’s better to forgive with patient hope.
It’s worse to be self-seeking, quick to anger,
It’s better to have trust for ages long.

As times pass on, the fading flowers ail,
The bright and coloured blooms turn grey and dry.
But living life for love will never fail.

Thanks Shelley. I intended to do something more ambitious but couldn't get there. This is a bit ordinary but I guess every bit of workshop counts for practise.
