But what I was referring to, was a time when I at least was first starting out and feeling my way into the mysteries of trying to write rhyming poetry. And then delving into the what seemed at that time, the impossible task of understanding rhythm.
Irene had encouraged me to join the forums as a way of learning and improving what I was trying to do. There used to be a regular group of us those days and while we were all keen it wasn't taken too seriously. We weren't into comps much if at all at that time and there was a definite sort of camaraderie; or at least it seemed so to me. Hence the fond memories.
