A very interesting and thought-provoking poem Stephen......you seem to have got a lot of folk waxing philosophical !

I suppose it all boils down to the question of was the world made for man - or was man made for the world?
Either way there is definitely intelligent design involved - just look in the mirror!! :-)

You raised a few questions that Google can't answer I reckon! Good work!

Thanks, Denis.

Personally, I don't believe that the world was made for man, but nor do I believe that man was made for the world.

I suppose you could say that. :) But from my point of view it isn't just egghead hairsplitting. In Australia, statistically speaking, every four hours a person takes their own life. For them the question of a meaningful existence is not just theory, it is a matter of life and death. I know; I have seen their pitiful explanations sometimes left behind.

I defy anyone to look at those tragic remains and walk away saying, there's no meaning to this, it doesn't matter. As the Yanks say " talk is cheap " In other words, it is easy to say anything, it is not always so easy to live it as if it were true.

And that's the stuff that poetry is made of Marty, believe it or not. ;) :)
