Hi Maureen
Boys!!!
May I ask what does a 'Deputy Editor' do? Not that I have any time or expertise but I thought if people knew they may think - 'Well that's me.'

cheers

Dot

PS You do such a great job with all you do.
Thanks

It's a volunteer position so you can't whinge about the pay, you work from home so you can't bitch about the conditions  but the hours are flexible and you can work in your Pyjamas if you want to - I do. You can work whatever hours suit you and drink as much coffee as you like whilst doing the job. If friends want to drop in on your workplace for a chat the boss is never going to complain :o Want extended lunch hours? No problems - take as many as you like. Don't want to work Mondays? Hey we're very flexible, not a problem. Long weekend every weekend - Hell yes. Why not?

Basically it is just someone to back me up if I get crook or need to go away suddenly and of course someone who can also source poetry, stories, events and things of interest for the magazine. Everything is done by email so no problem with meetings etc and I have skype if anyone wants a face to face at any time. As I always have 3 or 4 issues done ahead of time I don't see it being a problem for any one who might like to help out. Highly unlikely you will ever get thrown in the deep end. The time factor is as little or as much as you chose to put into it - realistically probaly no more than a couple of hours a week would see you out. As Editor I put in a few hours a day but that is from choice as do the FB page as well as contacting/sourcing poets worldwide.

If this sounds like your ideal job and if you can spell  - and you think you might be interested please let me know.
