I think you are quite right there Neville. Facebook and mobile phones are a way for people to connect. I joined it when my young daughter went to New Zealand on holiday so I could see her photos and hear what she was doing there. In days of old she would have written letters - people rarely write letters now. other than that I rarely use it.

I see the same on Facebook Neville. I've recently had friends "friend" me on Facebook and they are sharing things like inspirational thoughts, crafts, travel and baby photos. There are those that share their every breathing moment which gets very annoying but you can block that. I suppose it is just a new and different way for people to share, keep in touch and connect. I guess the telephone was new once too.
