I know Tomkinson Creek, like many of the creeks and rivers in this country it is only a creek when it rains!, I have also done a bit of work around Newcastle waters, it was, or still may be owned by the Packer Family, I installed the electrical to a couple of bores there a few years ago, also a very wet place when the season sees fit! I actually wired up an outstation not far from Tomkinson Creek, it is all near Muckaty Station, the one that all the hullabaloo is over regarding the proposed nuclear waste dump! ...history gets even more interesting when you get personally involved I reckon1

This is my favourite poem from the 2012 Bronze Swagman Book. Lovely juxtaposition of the two environments. Beautiful Manfred.
