G'day everyone,

In order not to desecrate (My New years resolution again: which will in future be shortened to 'word') 'Our Flag', I will post, under it's own thread, my effort on this topic which we had for homework one week.

Time to change our flag. I am designing one with Warnie holding a jar of vegimite and wearing a Collingwood beanie while sitting on the bonnet of a HR holden, all the things that Aussies have fought for in recent years!!!!!

Don't forget the meat pie and the aussie blowie...want to make it really authentic...can you squeeze in a woolie, oh and a lifesaver in budgie smugglers    You do want it to appeal to a wide audience.

Sorry Maureen, but we didn't fight for our 4&20 pies. Just sold 'em off. I can fit in a blowie, I don't know what a woolie is and Abbot has insulted the smugglers for ever more. But the blowie is in.

Sorry Keatsie, a Blowie is useless without the 4 & 20 (Ya hafta blowie on it when it's hot)
Two things missing Mauzy/Keatsie .. a Suckie and a stubbie - Ya suckies on a stubbie in between blowies on the 4 & 20 ...

(just completing the list - that's all)

Oooh sorry - we have Sergeants Pies up here just presumed they were military and aligned with the flag so to speak....silly me. The 4 x 20 pies were blackbird filled - wouldn't eat them, be mighty tough I'd reckon, bit like cockatoo Mannie.

A woolie???? cant Baaaleive you don't know what that is Keats ....are you doing the Baaa, Humbug thing????   .

Sorry Maureen, I get it now. It's just that it is too hot down here in Ballarat for sheep to wear wool. NO ALCOHOL MANFRED!!!!! This is a family flag, that's why Mr. Squiggle will be going up in the corner.

...can't say I have ever heard a sheep referred to as " A woolie" either, but I did work out what Maureen was on about. Having worked a bit with sheep I can't think why you would ever want one on a flag though!...Dad always reckoned there was only one thing sillier than a sheep, .....the bloke working them!
