A Rose

Post by noelcauser » Mon May 02, 2011 9:06 am

I wrote this to my only daughter who over the past twenty years faithfully cared for her dieing husband. I have never witnessed before so much love and devotion from a wife to her husband. She has now moved back closer to home and that is great for we see more of her.

A Rose.

A rose has many petals,
each spread the scent of love.
A fragrance that gives reason,
they were sent from God above.
The sweetest glow of beauty,
captured within ones inner heart.
Is what makes this life so precious
And what sets your soul apart
The love you share is endless,
forgiveness, embraced at every turn
From dis-pare you lead lost souls
on paths they didn't earn
Yes this rose has many petals,
and you share each one with love.
that fragrant scent will fill the air,
carried on the winds above
A wife, a mum, a trusted friend
willing always too impart.
That a life that is worth living
comes directly from the heart

G'day Noel,

She has inherited her caring nature from her dad. The poem isn't too bad either. See you Wednesday.

Yeah good onya Noel, it is amazing how much love and devotion some people have, my sister inlaw is just such a person, my brother has MS and is presently in hospital...possibly not to come home, his wife has been caring for him virtually on her own for many years, she deserves a medal but she thinks it is just normal behaviour, as did your daughter by the sound of things. I hope she has healed well. I rang my mother this morning it is not the best mothers day for her but where there is life....well we all know the rest.
