I’m a doggy detective. As any can tell,
You never can match it with my sense of smell.
I snuffle and sniff, and I find lots of clues
Ordin’ry noses like you have would lose.
I sniffle and snort at the base of a tree,
And then lift my leg up, and have a wee pee
(‘Cause I want to inform any dogs passing through
That tree is not theirs. Oh, no, I was here too!)
Though other dogs’ smells are my chiefest delight,
I note other creatures that pass in the night.
It might be a possum. It might be a cat,
A cunning red fox or a little grey rat,
So when I return from our walk ‘round the block,
Olfactory info I have in great stock.
And what do I do with my head full of clues?
I heave a deep sigh, and I have a long snooze!

Re: K9
Must have missed this one Stephen when you first posted it - but I am sure you know that dogs noses sniffing are the equivalent of us reading a newspaper. They come home knowing exactly who has been doing what with whom and why. Most satisfactory in their opinion.
Loved this doggy story
