HOMEWORK FOR WEEK ENDING 02/04/12

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Mon Mar 19, 2012 8:49 am

Lovely to see so many people participate in the last homework idea and have a bit of fun along the way with it. Some good little limericks came from that. Well done everyone who participated.

So another bit of quirkiness for you to get your teeth into this fortnight lets try an Acrostic poem using your own name.

Now if you have a short name like Bill you could write

But
I
Like
Lemons

or if your name is Patrick you could write
Perhaps -he softly muttered
After we've eaten our
Tea we might see a little
Rain which would be lovely
Is this just wishful thinking
'Cause today is hot and stinking.
Kookaburra laughs - says 'Probably?'

But push the boat out a little and try using your full name or your nickname and see if you can get it to rhyme

Now if you have a name like Xavier or Xuxa this challenge might be a tad difficult but the rest of you should manage ok

And then when you have done that and you think to yourself - by Crikey that is pretty good - well here is some free software to help you set it up all fancy-nancy ready to frame and hang in the .........toilet perhaps?
