Boots
Might be plastic.
Might be leather.
Sides elastic.
Built for weather.
Might be black.
Might be brown.
Tight or slack.
Bush or town.
Boots.
Might be yellow.
Might be pink.
Might be mellow.
Might just stink.
Start a feud.
Hit the skids.
Rainbow-hued
For little kids.
Boots.
Might be tall.
Might be short.
Might just fall.
Might be bought.
Might be dandy.
Might be rough.
Might be handy.
Might just bluff.
Boots.
Might have heels.
Might have spurs.
Skins of seals.
Possum furs.
Big brass buckles.
Long strong laces.
Might bring chuckles
At the races.
Boots.
Built for dancing.
Built for mud.
High romancing.
Any old dud.
Made for water.
Made for snow.
Son or daughter.
High or low.
Boots.
Might be dear.
Might be cheap.
Disappear,
Or boots to keep.
Wade through bogs.
Spin on wood.
Swap for clogs.
Keep as good.
Boots.
Brushed to shine.
Caked with dirt.
Feel divine.
Really hurt.
Wrecks or rippers,
Win or lose;
Never slippers,
Thongs or shoes.
Boots.
