NANOOK
The cooler weather’s creeping in but there’s sunshine on ice
and down at Sea World on the coast an event rather nice
has taken place. A miracle of birth to be precise.
A little polar bears is born at Sea World.
They’re watching it on cub-cam as its secrets are unfurled,
the latest video clips are sent out all across the world.
It snuggles up to Mother and against her breast is curled,
the little polar bear new-born at Sea World.
This Mums a first time Mum and she is doing the job well.
Her mother love has kicked in though in her eyes tears might swell.
This babe was one of two cubs, but one sadly heard deaths knell.
Liya’s given birth to babies there at Sea World.
This little white furred stranger is as yet marked sex unknown
they're giving space to Mum and cub to bond inside their home.
The little cub is tiny – resting in its a frigid zone
but his mum is gentle with it – it’s her whole world.
And when you think how few Polar bears are left in the world
this one is doubly precious be it little boy or girl
it carries new hope in its genes . This tiny cub tight curled
and held safe in Mothers arms at Queensland’s Sea World.
And through the underwater windows of the white bears lair
in weeks to come visitors will no doubt see them swimming there
together. How magnificent. What a delightful pair
of Polar Bears there are at Gold Coast – Sea World.

Saw it briefly on the news the other night Maureen. Isn't the cub so tiny?

Goodonya Maureen.
Since this is a workshop I point out that you need to do some work on line 2 of stanza 3. You know what I mean
