The Day I Learnt to Blow my Nose
The day I learnt to blow my nose,
Magpies brought the air alight
In tones effusive, vibrant, strong:
"Ain't he clever! Ain't he bright!"
The day I learnt to blow my nose
The forest creatures, hand in hand,
Danced in circles, sang as one,
"Ain't it super! Ain't it grand!"
The day I learnt to blow my nose,
The President, the King and Queen,
Clapped their hands and all agreed:
"The best report we've ever seen!"
The day I learnt to blow my nose
The stars aligned in outer space,
But better, far, than all of this...
My ear drums popped back in place!
