Well since it is Melbourne Cup day today I will theme the prompts around the 4 legged equines...that should give some scope for our poets, whether you be a fan of horse racing or just the dressing up and the frou frou that goes with the racing scene or placing the bets in the hope of winning a motza.
Midnights last ride
champagne, chicken and chance
Flemington roses
working up a sweat
a trail of trashed tickets
skint
Lets see if any of these hints will get your poem past the winning post and thank you to all who participate in this little fun exercise each couple of weeks. As always use one prompt or use them all the choice is yours and of course your poem can be about anything you like - doesn't have to be about the gee gees.
Have fun folks - get writing
