Re homework prompts for week ending 29.12.14
The Honeymoon
“Aaah yes!”I remember it oh so well.
We’d anchored that day in the cove.
She’d emptied a bottle of whiskey,
then into the water she dove.
Drunk as a skunk and legless to boot,
straight under the surface she went.
I thought she would float so big were her boobs
but she sank like a bag of cement.
Just once for a short time she surfaced.
“Grab onto this life ring.” I said.
But I’d had a few tipples myself that day
and it landed right smack on her head.
She went under again for the very last time
And I thought “Well that’s sure stuffed the trip.”
I looked round for the whiskey to send her a toast,
then remembered she’d had the last nip.
Merry Christmas everyone ...Wazza

Thanks Bob I really enjoyed writing this one. I was tempted to add another couple of verses but figured I'd muck it up and decided to quit while ahead. Glad you liked it.

I'd be watching your back Warren because I've heard tell that behind every successful man there is a woman (waiting to push). I sense a long-suffering wife!

There are some poems I don't tell her about Heather.

Correct. Even the movie was boring and I saw the original featuring Danny Kaye. You probably don't remember him.
