My Shed

Post by Bob Pacey » Tue Jan 13, 2015 3:46 pm

My Shed ( those who do not have one will not understand )

The mower needs fixing so I head out to the shed
I grab a pair of multigrips with a serrated head.
Then I see the dart board waiting and I start to play
The mower well the bloody thing can wait another day.

Hey there is that old fishing reel I thought I had lost
So I try to fix it up again to try and save the cost.
I rummage and I fossick through boxes of old gear
so many treasures I've collected are stored away in here.

The beer fridge is full and icy cold so I grab a frosty one
sit down in my camping chair, out of the midday sun.
I drift off into a slumber with a coldie in hand
an afternoon spent lazing in my shed it really is quite grand.

Away from the hustle and the bustle I'm not easy to be found
no grandkids on the tramp or their friends coming round.
Peace and contentment reigns as I clear my muddled head
yeah mate it's just so peaceful tinkering out here in me shed.

The purpose in life is to have fun.

Did the first draft pretty quickly hopefully it reads better now and explains the need for a shed.
