Homework 18/5/2015 Mothers day Memories

Post by Terry » Sat May 09, 2015 11:23 am

Mothers Day Memories

My dreams of late drift ever on to days of childhood now long gone,
and like a book each page therein now paints a picture of each day.
Then faster still the pages fly as days then months and years flash by,
and then at last my Mum appears for she’s been far too long away.

With smiling eyes just like before she steps into my life once more,
to brush away the tears I’ve shed when told that she had passed away.
A lad of only fifteen then and not as strong as older men,
I couldn’t hide the pain I’d felt when lost for words that final day.

Then quickly now the moments past - reality returns at last,
this brief encounter dreamt I know, but still had seemed so real to me.
With Mothers day again so near perhaps the reason dreams appear,
for Mothers stay within our hearts, no matter what your age may be.

You did good Terry :D - it's a lovely tribute to Mums everywhere.

There comes a time Terry, when memory is all we've got of some relationships. As you say, it stays strong.
