Carbon Tax

The government is showing cracks
For sanity it surely lacks.
It’s full of fools and union hacks,
Dissatisfaction at the max.
Her tiny brain the Red Queen racks,
For she is fearful of the axe.
So despite industry attacks,
She comes up with a carbon tax.
With laughter the whole world reacts.
She tells the people to relax,
There’ll be no burden for their backs,
There’ll be no unforeseen impacts,
But then she’s not much good at facts.
Before the tax, my wealth ransacks,
I’m saddling up all my yaks,
And loading them with all my packs,
And pretty soon I’m making tracks.
