There’s Islam, Christianity, folklore, Buddhism,
Hinduism, Voodoo and Druidism,
Atheism, Mormonism, Shinto, Taoism
There’s Wicca and Agnostic even Jainism.

We’ve Japanese and Chinese, Greeks, Italians,
Vietnamese, Sudanese also Romanians,
Americans, Hawaiians and Bulgarians,
Mongolians and Danish even Mexican.

With tolerance, nobility, honor, righteousness,
Loyalty, respect and pride also graciousness,
Kinship, sensitivity, love, virtuousness,
Fidelity, trust and hope even happiness.

But none of this should matter nor the color of our skin,
Cause everyone can mix and match but still one race we’re in,
An atheistic Aussie as I tolerantly brim
With hope that mankind’s human race will coalesce and win.

Got my vote Adam couldn't agree more - so many religions - wonder why that is necessary when we subscribe generally speaking to one God? ;)

It's a great ideal Adam, and a nicely written little poem.

The critical point is that, to be in oneness , should not mankind be bound by a dynamic for good not a force for evil. So far, attempts to " coalesce" human society have proved to be a force for evil.
C.S Lewis said that the most humble, kind and generous person you could think of, harbours in their heart the same ambition as every other person, to be king of the universe. I think he made a good point, therein lies the problem.

Hey Maurren and Neville,

Unfortunately your exactly right Neville, but wouldn't it be nice if everyone could respect and appreciate other people's beliefs. There is so much the Aboriginals could teach main stream society if only we respected their culture enough to listen.
After-all we all bleed blood, we all want to be loved, we all feel cold and heat not really all that different when you break it right down.
But alas we segregate based on the smallest differences. Not everyone mind you but a large portion.

You didn't mention Frisbeetarianism, Adam?
That's the belief that when you die your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.

Good stuff mate.

Cheers, Marty
