Good morning Zondrae. Pleased to hear your husband does not look like a gnome!

My grandmother was a lucky person. She died when I was seventeen but I remember Mum always said she was "tinny" and she was always winning on the horses. One time she won an overseas cruise to England on the Tommy Hanlon Show. Anyone remember that show?

Old age and memories are a wonderful thing.
Never heard of that show.

I was but a whipper snapper. We didn't have a TV and I think we may have gone to my Nana's place to watch the show. I'm guessing I was under 10.

When we got our first tv I think we kids sat for hours just watching the test pattern.
When a show came on I always thought that if you turned it off it would start up again where it was when you turned it off.
Funny thing is I think you can do that now. Must have been ahead of my time.
I wonder if todays kids will be able to say those were the good old days ?
