So, I'm guessing that the game is over because you have all resurfaced...

State Of Origin Two

I woke up late this morning
found that last rum I didn't drink
I walked slowly to the kitchen
and then I tipped it down the sink.

I couldn't sleep a bloody wink
I got up six times to have a spew
Every time I closed me eyes
All I could see was bloody blue.

That full tissue box is empty
And the cat inside won't come
And I haven't seen me cattle dog for ages
Well not since I kicked him up the bum.

We had the Blues at half time
We were playing like a team possessed
But we just could not handle Gallen
Or that bloody bloke they call the pest.

I have to go to work today
To face those grinning cocky Blues
I wish the win had been reversed
And I was in their shoes.

We left our run a little bit too late
And we just ran out of time
But we will rally once again
For this mountain we can climb.

Yeah let them celebrate their victory
Though it’s such a crying sin
Five years they’ve had to sweat and toil
For the odd solitary win.

But we are Queenslander warriors
And I’ll tell you this my son
We may have lost one battle
But the war can still be won.

Once again you’ll see the passion
as we slowly turn the tide
and the Blues will shake and quiver
but there is nowhere they can hide.

Cause the next game’s on at Lang park
And you Blues will feel the pain
Of near fifty thousand screaming Queenslanders
Going off their brain.

So take your win you roaches
Though you may think you’re victory bound
You now have to face the Canetoad Warriors
On Lang Parks hallowed ground.

Queenslander

G'day Bob
Five years they’ve had to sweat and toil
To get one solitary win.
You might want to check the stats on that one Bob. Tonight's win was NSW's fifth in the last six years. Last year's series was the only one in that time won by QLD 3-0. Checking the stats, NSW's losing streak was 4 games total before tonight's win.

I will give you QLDers credit though. The last time that the third game was a decider was 2006, so it could be argued that three out of five of NSW's wins in that time were only a consolation.

Game three should be a good test of the spirit of both teams.

Regards

Maybe if you didn't drink so much rum you might play better footy Bob? Just a thought.
