Yes right again Marty. The Last Post was the poem Nev.

It is a wonder she is sane after 4 hours in the car with me.

Bob mate, she wasn't sane before she went to Queensland so I don't think you could make it worse. :?

How was the weather? Heather said it was very cold at night. It is just lucky that I have been to Queensland when the sun was shining in the past and it has been warm because for the 10 days I was up there last week it wasn't like the ads at all. Wet one day and drizzling the next!

No doubt Heather will post the poem on her return tomorrow. As Bob said it was "The Last Post."

God Darren you will be in strife when Heather gets home mate !! Heathers ok but I was just a little dissappointed in the standard of the rooms which I reccommended and had gotten run down since my last visit in 2008. Got to 7 degrees this morning and I've been waking up at 4 o'clock so it was bloody freezing.

I had the little heater in the room going full pelt plus the griller on the flaming stove to warm my bum. I went out and got a paper and sat in the car with the heater on and I've already had a two hour nap so will get some serious sleep after tea.

Caught up with lot of poets that I have not seen for three years and obtained a few tips on perfroming as well which is what I went for. I performed in the State Of Origin poetry comp on Friday night but they put me on the New South Wales team. That was just Keats causeing havoc and as he said he could not give a stuff how much we complained. All in fun though.

Did my bit for the Bundy economy by looseing some money in the pokies and helping to reduce the rum stockpile but only a little as I had to drive.

Sheez Darren 10 days last week? :? I wish we could’ve got 10 days in a week when we were up there we would have been able to see many more poets. I dunno some blokes get all the luck.

Glad you had a good time Bob and good on Heather for her HC - sounds like a fun time was had by all.

Weather down here still fine and sunny but also blowy and cold - get the right spot though and it's beautiful.

morning all,

Congratulations Heather for yor HC. Also congratulations to all who entered the performance competition. Everyone who has the courage to get up in front of their peers and recite is a winner in my book. Not everyone can be favoured by the Judges on the day and we all know we have 'good days' and not so good days. So as I said they are all winners in my eyes.
Looking forward to finding out who all the winners were, both written and performance.
