Yup, you're getting closer Manfred. The photo was at Bundy, under John and Sandy's house, but the trophy was at Beaudesert. James was there (Beauy). He was like my adopted Grandad - lovely man. But I didn't meet Ross, I think he went the next year. Part of the event was outside, around a campfire and part of it was at Glenny and Al's house, near their dam with the big spider on the dunny. You did your "bike into the Chernobyl swamp" poem. It was the very first poet thing I'd ever gone to and I was completely gobsmacked to see so many people who knew poems off by heart! That was also the first time I met Carol, and she was my "prompter" in case I forgot the words to my poem. We've been good mates ever since too. I've met some wonderful people through bush poetry.
Manfred, do you remember the trophy you made???
Heather - he didn't just wake up, but he certainly needed to get some sleep! But he was happy ....
