ABPA - Australian Bush Poets Association

I've been invited to do a regular ABPA news spot on Pixie's Bush Breakfast on Sunday mornings sometime between 6am to 10am (Qld time). Tune in to Radio 98.9FM Brisbane, radio app on your 'smart' phone or streaming on the Net .. http://www.989fm.com.au/ anywhere in the World.

Not sure when our segment will go to air, most likely around 8am. Pixie Jenkins is a great supporter of Bush Poetry and wants to run this feature regularly every two weeks.

As always trying to promote our mob. Pity FM will not reach down here to the Illawarra.

I do my bit now and again and have a chat on air with Nick Rheinberger on the local ABC. Last time was to promote the Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival. I always get in a plug for ABPA.

Got our ugly mugs in the local free paper again last week. Illawarra Breakfast Poets in the 'my club' section. Had three enquiries to join but, as is the case with many folk the 7am start is too early. I keep suggesting a branch at another venue and later and only once a month but no takers yet. I may have to look into it myself and not wait for the 'mob'. There a lot of poetry groups in Wollongong but we are the only one that write rhyming poetry. Many of the others frown on the rhyme.
