The above is the last known address that I have for John Bird.
I recall him as a prolific writer from the 1990's but have no current information on him at all.

I recall hearing that John passed away a couple of years ago - but I hope I'm wrong.
'The Filly, My Filly', and 'The Last Charge' are both in,
"Selected Poems and Bush Ballads Volume 3" by John Bird. (Dedicated to his mother)
I met him a few years ago when Jack Drake was running a fest in Stanthorpe.

Dropped in to see John with Ray Essery a few years back. I believe he passed away some time after.
