I have a problem ( I know Marty shut up )
I have an old sansung mobile model SGH A411 which went kaput. I brought a new battery and It worked for two days but will not recharge even though I have tried a couple of different chargers so the problem is in the phone.
I really need a loan of a charged battery or someone willing to charge my battery so I can recover info off the phone such as Poems I've started and most inportantly photos of my good friend Rita who passed away last year.
Can anyone help ??
Send me pm if so to see what we can work out.
Cheers Bob.

Re: Help
Have you tried going to your local store where they sell the phones and asking them for help - have found usually they are willing to help out if they can - especially if perhaps a possible sale in the offing
Worth a try - good luck
Cheers

Re: Help
G'day Bob
One thing that I own is a universal battery charger that works with phone batteries and camera batteries. I bought it from a Dick Smith Electronics. You need to remove the battery from the phone to put it in the charger and you have adjustable electrodes that you line up with the electrodes on the battery that you are charging. I am not sure if I remember how much it costed, but it could be set up to run off a car's 12V system or could run off 240V AC.
I hope that might help

Re: Help
Bob, have you tried putting the sim card in a different phone? Often the details are stored on the sim card, so putting it in a different phone can transfer the info to that phone.
Also, some phones have a micro SD card in them, and information may be stored on that. In that case, you should be able to access the info when you transfer that into another phone.
Hope that helps
