G'day All
There is a tick-box in the user control panel where you can apply to be a member. You need to tick this box and Manfred will let you know if your application has been successful. It may have been that you had to click in to the usergroups tab on the left hand side to tick this tick box. It could have been in the profile section also. I am not entirely sure as I already have this status on here and now that I have the status, it has disappeared.

I found the bit you talked about and I clicked it, but I still can't see the post a picture thinggy. Perhaps Manfred has to give my application the thumbs up?

It took a few days for approval, if I remember correctly. Manfred emailed me to let me know that my application was successful.
