Who's got a good eye?
Just looking for comment on the effect of this poem on the photo - to make sure it is easily readable and well placed.
I don't always have a good eye for those things!!
Thanks
Irene
Or is it better with the blue writing?

Re: Who's got a good eye?
Looks ok to me Irene, print could be a tad bigger or a little darker but that may not fit ?
Black is better than blue.
I have been trying to do something like this for ages but am just not savvvy enough.
Cheers Bob

The one with dark writing is best Irene as it draws your eyes to the verse before the picture which is what it should do.

Re: Who's got a good eye?
Thank you everyone - I was inclined to use the black - but wondered if it was too stark - it is always great to get other opinions when you aren't sure.
It is for my son from Lila.
Bob, I typed the words in a word document how I wanted them first. Then I opened the photo in paint (go to the photo - right click on it -open with - select 'paint') - which should come with your computer if you have windows - clicked on the A (text) which allowed me to put a text box in, then copy and pasted the text from word. Always work on a copy of the photo - so you don't wreck the original one. If you muck it up the first time, just cancel out before you save it, and start again.

I tend towards the blue Irene -it's softer to suit the mood and you can see it clearly because it has the sea spray as background.
You could always do a slightly darker blue writing if you thought it needed more contrast - just to confuse the issue!

Re: Who's got a good eye?
Thanks Heather - I will try a slightly darker blue and see how it goes also.
Isn't it funny how much the text colour can change a picture? I find they both have a completely different feel about them, just with the different colour!!
I love this photo - you can almost see images in the sea spray above the rainbow effect!! (ooops, shouldn't say that - the fellas will think I'm crazy!!!

Irene
For what it is worth and I certainly am no expert but maybe try a softer font.
I like the black but maybe Lucida Calligraphy,Prodigal or Script MT Bold
Seems more personal to me??!!
