mmm,
I thought I had posted some very intellectual dissertation on the hybrid horse ie Mule, but I can't seem to find it. I must have forgotten to press the submit button.. Oh well yet another chance to display my learning gone down the
gergler. (how would you spell it?)
What I wished to say was;
A Donkey is a breed unto itself. In some quarters called an Ass.
The offspring of a horse and a donkey is called a mule.

well well croc I see you've been looking up some of your rellies . Looks like johnnies family have you been hanging out around their water hole by the look of it. Looks like they need a bit of a flush ( money wise of coarse) or are they on the green side of the family and have been hanging out around the pool to long. Oh well the rainy seasons comming soon mate and they'll all be flush ed.
