Homework WE 4/3/2013 - The Loner
THE LONER
© John Peel 19/2/2013
He once was a loner who nobody knew –
now he’s a corpse going rotten.
If only he’d gone out and made a few friends,
he wouldn't be lying forgotten.

I really enjoy all the short pithy ones this week.

The short pithy ones can be just as much fun to write as the longer ones too.

Ooooh John
that's not a nice thing to say about the poor old bloke. He probably did his best - hope they don't put this on any ones headstone
Very witty though - clever man
All these short poems make mine look like I was suffering verbal diarrhoea (as usual)
Cheers
Maureen

Glad you enjoyed it Maureen
Hopefully not my epitaph. Still plenty of time to have a go at a short one, if you would like to try.
Glad you enjoyed it Heather
After reading your beautiful poem, I felt I had to lower the standard a little.

You never lower standards John. I enjoyed the laugh.
