More Cyclone Talk

Post by Zondrae » Tue Feb 01, 2011 4:03 pm

Afternoon all,

Lets hope that this mighty big cyclops does not reach too far inland. Our member and friend Ronnie (Veronica) Weal, four times winner of the Bronze Swagman and a truck load of other awards, lives in that area, only inland a little way. Good luck Ronnie. Hope you are out of reach.

Beautiful day in Central Queensland. Will see how Yeppoon fares when the wind picks up. if it gets too strong might end up being blown to Kyms place.

Looks like you're going to cop it well Dave - all the best - will be thinking of you and your family.
I think I would be getting out of there fast if something like that was heading my way!!!
Let us know how you get on if you can - we will all be worried for you - though doubt anyone will be in a position to do so.

Yeah, I'm thinking about you and yours too David J, (and any others in Yasi's path) hope you are ok, and if you have moved to safer ground hope you still have a house to come back to. Watching that bloody great thing on TV is a bit like watching the opening scenes of some disaster movie. It must be really frightening to be right in the path of it.

Good luck to all. Mother Nature obviously has another trick up her sleeve. If you see a green Queenslander flying past. If you see a green Queenslander sailing past can you grab it? That'll be my house. No idea how far inland or coastal south this one will go, but at present is reaching Hurricane Katrina proportions and where will the water go? Have seen them die down quick before, so let's just pray for another twist in the weather.

Stay safe all.
