Congratulations Marty - a truly wonderful poem!
As secretary of the WA Bush Poets, I must say that this is a worthy winner, and I certainly do not have a problem with the word in question.
Like Terry, I also am not a lover of profanity or vulgarity in poetry - or in everyday conversation - but I agree that your word would be classed as australian slang more than a vulgarity.
