Hahahahaha .... Love it, and you're right no 'side' is immune from corruption. That's why INDEPENDANT watchdogs like ICAC are important to the proper functioning of our Democracy(sic) to ensure ALL sides of politics play by the rules ...

A bottle of free plonk is hardly a case of "rotten to the core" Marty, or else corruption comes mighty cheap in NSW.

Fair dinkum ... a bottle of Grange ... it's very overrated anyway. I'm not into letting pollies get away with all they do but I reckon this one's a bit tough.

I'd actually be more concerned that someone with such a bad memory was running the state.

So yep we all agree both sides are as bad as one another - then why do the vast majority of us all still opt to vote for one or the other?

If someone gave me a 3k bottle of anything it'd go straight onto eBay....& I'd never forget it!
Martin....we vote for them because we get fined if we don't....& the options are all crook! This country is run by criminals!! Everyone's taken the bait about upping the pension age....what should be happening is a major riot over the excessive & totally unaffordable ongoing support of retired pollies...for not turning up for the job! Perhaps if that was scrapped....on demand!!!....Hockey wouldn't have the absolute gall to demand that "WE" all need to tighten our belts. He's got more front than Myers!
Now I'll have to have a Bex & a lie down again......

Re: Rotten to the core
Of course Glenny anybody born before 19** won't have to worry too much about Joe Hockey upping the pension age in 15 years time.
I think that scepticism on Barry OFarrell's memory comes if we don't understand the politician's mentality. For you and I, an expensive bottle of wine is certainly memorable. But politicians only think of two things, themselves and themselves in tomorrow's headlines. Anything apart from these two items is easily forgotten no matter how seemingly unforgettable to ordinary mortals.
