I agree with Matt, Stephen, and I reckon Dave might have appreciated that. When it comes to history, you know stuff! He gave the book several plugs, so the message came across, and that woman ringing in was a nice bonus. Might have to put out some extra seats at Toolangi!

Thanks Matt, David. I hadn't thought of it like that, but perhaps you are right. My daughter made the comment that he did a good job of following what I was saying, so I guess he deserves some credit for that. Let's face it, there are not many people (sadly) who do know much about C. J. Dennis these days.

You did very well Stephen (despite the lack of cheerio ) and it was a bonus that Dave O'Neil actually knew of Toolangi and C.J. Dennis and seemed interested. You might be able to get him to give the C.J. festival a further plug as it gets closer. On the other hand i thought it was poor of him to continually make the interview about him and not his guest or the topic for which you were there.
